Obama’s Excremental Economics
Bird-Brain Flu
Thomas E. Brewton
As prolongation of the 1930s Depression and stagflation in the 1970s demonstrated, Senator Obama’s announced policies are a prescription for economic disaster.

Bird-Brain Flu
Jeff Mazzella
The United States Senate may vote any day on the stealth imposition of what could amount to an $845 BILLION United Nations style global tax on American citizens?

Jimmy Carter: Citizen Traitor
Bird-Brain Flu
Erik Rush
The political left in America is like a deranged passenger on a jetliner who repeatedly attempts to storm the flight deck and crash the plane, but who the crew and other travelers are limited in their ability to restrain due to obscure regulations (whose full implications were unforeseen when they were implemented) which give the unhinged would-be saboteur the right to move about the cabin freely.

The Flight Of Small Businesses Out Of New Jersey!
Bird-Brain Flu
Gordon Bishop
New Jersey is losing hundreds of millions of dollars a year as both overtaxed residents and businesses are literally heading south where they can afford to live.

The Southern Baptist March Towards Irrelevance
Bird-Brain Flu
Christopher Adamo
Some of life’s concepts are so defining that, by their very nature, they preclude any alternatives. An individual who is honest ninety-nine percent of the time is a “liar.” Someone who is almost always sober is properly deemed a “drunk.” No common ground exists between the absolutes of right and wrong. And any attempts at finding or establishing such domain will be in vain. Jesus elucidated this perfectly when He warned against the futility of attempting to serve “two masters.”

America’s Bakers March on Washington
Bird-Brain Flu
Alan Caruba
On March 12, the American Baking Association, representing 85% of the total baking industry, will lead a “Band of Bakers March on Washington.” Representatives from more than 50% of the nation’s largest baking companies will call on Congress to correct the policies it has created over the years that have led to soaring food and oil prices.

Irrational Legislation
Bird-Brain Flu
Alan Caruba
I heard from Friends of the Earth, a huge environmental organization, who one would think would favor the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act of 2007 being advanced by Senate Democrats. It would impose a cap-and-trade program to force reductions of so-called greenhouse gas emissions.

‘Will McCain Oppose $845 Billion Earmark?’
Bird-Brain Flu
Cliff Kincaid
Some of the politicians on Capitol Hill regularly and sometimes secretly attach costly “earmarks” to bills to benefit special interests. Since Senator John McCain says he wants to eliminate those earmarks, he should start with the Barack Obama bill, the Global Poverty Act (S. 2344), which itself is a vastly expanded form of earmark. It commits the U.S. to spending $845 billion to eradicate poverty in the rest of the world. McCain could vote on the bill fairly soon because it could come up for a full Senate vote at any time. Where does he stand on it?

America is Running Out of Electricity
Bird-Brain Flu
Alan Caruba
The provision of electrical power nationwide has become the chosen battleground for environmental groups laboring night and day to insure there will not be enough of it to meet our needs.

‘Has the West Lost its Manhood?’
Bird-Brain Flu
Warner Todd Huston
The west’s current battle with radical Islam has revealed the worst in both the west and the world of Islam. Obviously from Islam we have seen the intolerance, hatred, oppression and evil in its nature. But, from the west we have seen revealed the hollowness of its soul and a complete lack of self-regard as so many western nations allow the evil of Islam to attack them from within as well as from without. The west has lost its spine to stand up for its own principles, in fact has thrown away all pretext that it even has principles worth preserving.

Unhealthy Freedoms
Bird-Brain Flu
Bethany Stotts
Since the release of the 2006 Census results, the American public has been inundated with media campaigns such as the American Medical Association’s (AMA) “Voice for the Uninsured” campaign. A variety of interest groups, associations, and politicians - including but not limited to HealthCare-NOW, the American Medical Student Association, Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY), and John Edwards - have argued that the 47 million Americans without health insurance is an unfair byproduct of our society and have pushed to institute universal healthcare. Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) declared this September, “That is the tragedy at the heart of our health care system - The devastation when one stroke of bad luck undoes a lifetime of hard work...The only way to guarantee affordable coverage for everyone is to cover everyone, and that is the choice we need for America.”

Huckleberry Finn and “Muslim” Jim
Bird-Brain Flu
Lee Culpepper
The latest politically correct attempt to feign offense over The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (which unleashes Mark Twain’s piercing wit and bitter criticism of society) is currently smoldering in North Richland Hills, Texas. Ibrahim Mohamed, a 17-year-old junior at Richland High School, claims that his teacher’s reluctance to replace the hateful word “nigger” on the blackboard with the “N-Word” was “cruel” and demonstrated “bad judgment.” Mohamed was the only black student in his class. He has since been transferred to a different English class with another teacher.

Military Morale and the Presidency
Bird-Brain Flu
Bruce Walker
It should be obvious to everyone that the military forces fighting in Iraq believe that what they are doing, the sacrifices they are making, the years they are giving is worth the cost. Our military has been an all volunteer military for thirty-five years and many of the soldiers fighting in Iraq have signed up for second and third tours.
