I Still Don’t Believe Obama
Election 2008 Aaron Goldstein

When the now infamous Reverend Jeremiah Wright video surfaced in March, I found myself unable to believe Barack Obama.  (1). I found it hard to believe that Barack Obama had never heard Reverend Wright utter a negative word about America.  I found it hard to believe that Barack Obama would title one of his autobiographies from one of Reverend Wright’s sermons and then not know what he actually preached.   More...

Is Hard Work ‘Asian Values,’ No Longer American Values? Hardly!
MSM Warner Todd Huston

I always find it amazing when writers in the mainstream press seem to have so little knowledge of America and its history. Of course, I suppose that being blissfully ignorant of US history does help paper over their betrayal, substituting the feeling that they can maintain allegiance to American “ideals” as they attempt to advocate for the sort of socialist/communist vision that they want America to become, quite despite its true character and principles. Heck, if you don’t know you are betraying your own country, you can’t be ashamed of yourself for it, right? In any case, here we have another prime example of such a betrayal by The New York Times’ Thomas Friedman from his May 4 piece(1) where he has decided that America is finished, done, kaput. And guess what? It’s all George W. Bush’s fault—shocking, I know.   More...

Senate to Vote on Obama-U.N. Global Tax Scheme
Bird-Brain Flu Jeff Mazzella

The United States Senate may vote any day on the stealth imposition of what could amount to an $845 BILLION United Nations style global tax on American citizens?   More...

In late April, AccuWeather.com, led by Joe Bastardi, its chief meteorologist, issued a news release
General Alan Caruba

In late April, AccuWeather.com, led by Joe Bastardi, its chief meteorologist, issued a news release that was, to be kind, pure mush. The early warning forecast for 2008’s June to November hurricane season said that conditions like La Nina and a “continued warm water cycle in the Atlantic Basin” held forth the “chance for U.S. landfalling storms.”   More...

New Jason Satellite Indicates 23-Year Global Cooling
Global Cooling Dennis T. Avery

Now it’s not just the sunspots that predict a 23-year global cooling. The new Jason oceanographic satellite shows that 2007 was a “cool” La Nina year - but Jason also says something more important is at work: The much larger and more persistent Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) has turned into its cool phase, telling us to expect moderately lower global temperatures until 2030 or so.   More...

Fairness Doctrine Unfairly Promoted
Progressivism Bethany Stotts

A recent conference at American University on Red Lion Broadcasting Corp. v. Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) legacy provided strong representation for last summer’s anti-conservative talk radio study. In the “The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio,” the Center for American Progress (CAP) and Free Press authors conclude that talk radio has an unfairly high conservative bias, with conservative ideas monopolizing 91% of radio programming aired by the nation’s top five broadcasters.   More...

There’s A Hole In The Bucket!
General J.J. Jackson

Perhaps as a child you once sang a fun little ditty about a hapless man, named Henry, and his beloved, named Liza.  See, this song is about a problem Henry has.  His bucket has a hole in it so it is pretty much useless.  But instead of handling the problem himself, he runs to ask Liza what he should do.   More...

Liberal “Social Justice” Portends New Dark Age
Progressivism Christopher G. Adamo

The American public, and Christians in particular, are being deluged once again with talk of the thoroughly ambiguous concept of “social justice.” It is, after all, election time. Thus the pseudo religious among us must make their pitch for the Christian vote, on whatever spurious terms they can concoct.   More...

Two Recent Success in WOT You Didn’t Hear About in the Media
MSM Warner Todd Huston

The Taliban suffered a big loss in Pakistan/Afghanistan this month and so did al Qaeda in Iraq, but the MSM has been practically silent on these great successes. It only goes to show that the media is so completely sold on the claim that the war is lost that they aren’t interested in doing any real reporting on the war.   More...

‘Islamic Shari’ah Banking, Is It Invading America?’
Islam Warner Todd Huston

The Daily Record(1) in Baltimore, Maryland recently published a story by Brendan Kearney that oddly seems to present a conflict between a bank employing Islamic Shari’ah law with its American investments and some black American borrowers and painting it as a racist issue. Sadly, the real story, that of Islamic law being imposed on American investors, is sidelined in order to pursue the race card. ( Full story reprinted at BlackEnterprise.com(2) )   More...

High Oil Prices - Blame The Government You Elected!
GreeenIsm Thomas D. Segel

Harlingen, Texas, April 28, 2008:  Yesterday I topped off my tank at $3.49.9 a gallon.  But, I am lucky.  My home is in one of the lowest cost-of-living regions of the country.  In California, for example, my brother filled up his tank again at $3.89.9 a gallon...and he shops for “cheap” gas. The high price of gasoline is on the lips of everyone you meet these days.  Also, everyone has his or her own idea about whom we should blame for our latest economic woes.   More...

Government-Approved Religions and Cults
Big Brother Doug Patton

So, let me make sure I have this straight. Hate-filled Islamic Madrassas are okay. To discriminate against them would be racial profiling.   More...

I’m a Bitter/Clingy Gun Owner - and I’m Happy About It!
Election 2008 Doug Giles

Obama, the great healer of America, the hope of our nation, came out last week and whizzed on millions of Christians and firearm fans calling us bitter Cling-Ons to religion and guns. I, personally, wasn’t insulted because I really like God and my rifles, and I make a good living off my rage.   More...
