Immigration Issue Reveals Arrogance of the “Ruling Class”

Intermixed with Hillary Clinton’s many disparate stances on illegal immigration are the occasional, very revealing statements that say far more about her character in general than about her transient and flexible beliefs. In one recent statement, she expressed her surprise at the vehemence of real America in its opposition to the massive invasion of illegals.

A couple of years ago, I debated a professor from American University named John Doolittle who, prompted by me, admitted that Senator Joseph R. McCarthy, R-Wisconsin (1908-1957), may have exposed some real communists working in the federal government. “But I saw the Edward R. Murrow broadcasts,” Dr. Doolittle added. “He was a bad man.”

Americans Pay for Emerging World Government
NewWorldOrder item by
Accuracy In Media:

In its new Human Development Report(1) calling for another $86 billion in aid to the rest of the world, supposedly to fight the effects of climate change, the United Nations acts distressed that people in “rich” countries like the U.S. don’t take the theory of man-made global warming more seriously. Its answer - and this is actually spelled out in the report - is that too much “editorial balance” in the media has prevented “informed debate” about the need for “urgent action” in the form of higher taxes on energy.
The Disgrace of CNN’s Nancy Grace

At the recent Democratic debate in Las Vegas, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer lobbed softball questions at Hillary Clinton. Then he allowed the audience to boo Hillary’s opponents - a callous breach of debate etiquette. And when it came time for the audience to grill the candidates, Blitzer deceptively introduced the questioners as “ordinary people, undecided voters.”

Since the release of the 2006 Census results, the American public has been inundated with media campaigns such as the American Medical Association’s (AMA) “Voice for the Uninsured” campaign. A variety of interest groups, associations, and politicians - including but not limited to HealthCare-NOW, the American Medical Student Association, Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY), and John Edwards - have argued that the 47 million Americans without health insurance is an unfair byproduct of our society and have pushed to institute universal healthcare. Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) declared this September, “That is the tragedy at the heart of our health care system - The devastation when one stroke of bad luck undoes a lifetime of hard work...The only way to guarantee affordable coverage for everyone is to cover everyone, and that is the choice we need for America.”

Recently, the owners of a Virginia commercial fishing company were indicted on federal charges for hiring illegal aliens to work as crewmen on the company’s boats. While the job of commercial fisherman is listed as the most dangerous job in America, it is considered to be the most lucrative amongst those jobs considered to be unskilled labor. Of course, Americans won’t do these jobs if they are not given the chance to do them.

‘Where is the News of Clinton Planting Questions at Appearances?’
Elections item by
Warner Todd Huston
Major Garrett of Fox News broke a story on the 9th that revealed that the Hillary Clinton campaign had admitted to planting questions(1) at a Newton, Iowa town hall meeting. Garrett reported that the Clinton campaign promised that planted questions would not happen again, but this isn’t something new for the Clinton campaign. Hillary has controlled the media with an iron fist yet few from the media have complained about it. And now, only a few MSM sources seem interested in this tale. Why is this story being ignored by the major media outlets? Worse, why do they allow Clinton to hamstring their ability to cover her without complaint? And, remembering how they reacted in 2005 when they thought the Bush administration planted questions, why are they letting Hillary slip by untouched?

‘China Bans Bibles from Olympics?’
General item by
The New Media Alliance(NMA):

In another move that both infuriates and attempts to suppress Christianity, China is reported to have officially banned Bibles - for athletes - from the 2008 Olympics. The Bible was included on a “prohibited items list” prepared by the Chinese government and distributed to athletes who intend to participate in the China-hosted Olympics. Under penalty of Chinese law, Bibles may not be brought into the Olympic village. Interestingly, no ban applies or has ever applied to the Muslim Quran. Apparently, Islam and all of its practices are still to be allowed. Also, apparently (although the secular and decidedly anti-Christian mainstream press did not report this story), China heard about the uproar caused by its actions from the new media and is now denying they occurred. China has now declared that athletes will be allowed to bring Bibles into the Olympic Village if they are “exclusively for personal use.”
Thanksgiving: A Most Selfish Holiday

Ah, Thanksgiving. To most of us, the word conjures up images of turkey dinner, pumpkin pie and watching football with family and friends. It kicks off the holiday season and is the biggest shopping weekend of the year. We’re taught that Thanksgiving came about when pilgrims gave thanks to God for a bountiful harvest. We vaguely mumble thanks for the food on our table, the roof over our head and the loved ones around us. We casually think about how lucky we are and how much better our lives are than, say, those in Bangladesh. But surely there is something more to celebrate, something more sacred about this holiday.
Giuliani & Paul: Republican Darlings of the Leftist Press

Dark horse candidate Ron Paul is fast becoming the media darling of the same leftist press that has been pushing Rudy Giuliani for President since 2001. This alone should make conservatives nervous about supporting either. If the leftist press approves, count me out!
Senate Committee Has Launched War on Talk Radio
Demercrats item by
Accuracy In Media:
WASHINGTON, November 8, 2007 - Accuracy in Media today criticized the Senate Commerce Committee for holding a Thursday hearing on “media diversity” that featured a prominent advocate of the federal Fairness Doctrine, a measure liberals hope to use to silence conservative talk radio. The witness, Alex Nogales of the liberal National Hispanic Media Coalition, used his testimony to attack “hate speech on talk radio programs” and claimed that “more diversity of ownership” in the media would somehow help solve the perceived problem. “The war on conservative talk radio has begun,” stated AIM editor Cliff Kincaid.
Fascism was Always Leftist

Don Feder, a brilliant conservative commentator, posted an article recently which calls for a “Left Fascism Awareness Week.” The article (well worth reading) describes just how totalitarian academia and other institutions of our society have become. Everything Feder writes about is valuable and true, and I have only one problem with his article: Fascism has always been on what we have come to call the “Left.”
