Investing Soon To Be Illegal
Congress J.J. Jackson

The pea brains in Congress and many of their cronies around the country have found the problem that, they feel, is causing us so much pain at the pump.  First they tried to demonize the oil companies.  But that did not work too well.  After that witch hunt, those on Capitol Hill are getting inundated with requests, if not demands, to get off the backs of oil companies and open up areas placed arbitrarily off limits to exploration and production.   More...

Looking Out for the Little Guy—the Jihadist
Demercrats Lee Culpepper

Now that gay marriage is legal in California, I feel a lot safer than I did last month. Islamic terrorists no longer need to fear waterboard interrogations, but I bet they will break just as easily when liberals force homosexual marriages down their throats.   More...

Obama and the Social Security Privatization Lie
Demercrats Ken Marrero

Few things illustrate Democrat’s penchant for preying on people’s fears better than Social Security. Proposing changes to Social Security produces hysteria from any Democrat near a microphone. Barack Obama is no different as evidenced by his comments earlier this week.   More...

The High Cost of Ethanol Subsidies
GreeenIsm OffSite

An Indian government official recently criticized the Bush administration for blaming the growing middle classes of developing countries, such as India and China, for rising food prices. Although he may have misinterpreted the president’s remarks, his and other Indian critics’ responses are worth thinking about. They argue that the United States is the real culprit behind high food prices. Has the United States played an important role in contributing to rising food prices and, if so, what should be done to correct the problem?   More...

Joe McCarthy Was RIGHT!
Progressivism Doug Edelman

The so-called “McCarthy Era” is commonly pictured (and ridiculed) as a bunch of paranoid alarmists running around believing there was a Communist under every rock.   More...

Obama Needs A Political History Lesson
Election 2008 Dave Gibson

Barack Obama has informed us that any criticism of his wife is strictly forbidden. This though Michele Obama is constantly making speeches for her husband and plays a significant role in his campaign. However, according to his allies in the press we are also forbidden to comment on the racist rants of his pastor, his association with a known terrorist, nor his 20 year membership in a church that seems to preach more hate than anything else.   More...

Obama Would Be A Clinton Third Term
Election 2008 Christopher G. Adamo

Forget about the rancor of the Democrat Primary season. That is all history now. In truth, the heated rivalry between the two candidates was hardly an indicator of any philosophical or moral differences between them, but only a strident argument about which liberal “messiah” deserved to be president. Even the fierceness of their efforts was itself a reflection of comparable components of raw ambition that each possesses.   More...

‘The (Liberal) Media Empire Strikes Back?’
MSM Jack L. Key

Well, here we go again. It’s big-time politics. The liberal media’s finest hour! Just the look and sound of the word “politics” grates on me.  So does the word “freedom” of a runaway liberal press. Has any other “freedom” or “right” of America’s Constitution ever been so abused?   More...

Sauce and Mozzarella Not Ingredients of a Federal Crime
Police State Nick Dranias

The Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit recently held that the robbery of an Ohio pizza shack was a federal crime. The shack made pizza from California sauce, Minnesota flour, and Wisconsin mozzarella. So, based on Congress’ power to regulate interstate commerce, the Sixth Circuit ruled the robbery constitutionally was prosecuted as a federal crime.   More...

Democrats Continue to Make Fools of Themselves
Demercrats JB Williams

Allow me to begin by stating for the record that I realize how politically incorrect it is to single out a specific group of people and acknowledge their overtly foolish behaviors. But it seems we have reached a moment of insanity, when enough really should be enough!   More...

Sex, Lies, and Datatapes of the Partner Abuse Industry
Femi-Nazis Carey Roberts

The domestic violence industry is reeling from a recent series of high-profile scandals, leaving abuse workers to wonder how things could have possibly gone so wrong.   More...

Multicultural Censorship
Multiculturalism Emily Miller

Historian and author Victor Davis Hanson argued in a lecture addressed to the Heritage Foundation that there is a new narrative defining the debate between security and liberty that is more characteristic of a post-9/11-plus-hindsight world.   More...

Pre-Nazi Germany was an Unchristian Nation
Religion Bruce Walker

Few myths warm the hearts of Leftists as much as the myth that Germany was a Christian nation which voted Adolph Hitler and his National Socialists into office.  This allows Leftists who hate Judeo-Christian moral traditions, which almost, all Leftists, to cow Christians into silence (didn’t you Christians let Hitler take power?) And it allows Leftists to spread the seeds of distrust between Christians and Jews(see what happens when Christians have power?) Also, because of the doctrinal divisions within Germany, Protestants and Catholics too often tried to defend only their branch of Christianity and leave the other undefended from defamation.  So it is that even books written by Christian authors that explore the relationship between Nazism and Christianity blithely assume that the German people, before the Nazis came to power, were predominately Christian – and that these Christians only belatedly discovered the depth of Nazi evil.   More...

A World Afloat on an Ocean of Oil
GreeenIsm Alan Caruba

Considering how much untapped oil is known to exist, not just in the United States, but worldwide, one would think that its current price was some kind of anomaly and it is. It is more the result of speculation than anything else.   More...

‘Will the Greens Sacrifice Their Own ‘Sacred Cows’?’
GreeenIsm Dennis T. Avery

Wired Magazine has published a list of “Green sacred cows” it says must be sacrificed to save the planet. Wired’s founding editor, Kevin Kelly, formerly edited the Whole Earth Catalog, so the magazine has credentials for rethinking what it means to be Green.   More...
