Oprah Invites Accused Rapist to Show Premier, Media Celebrates
Guest:

The Chicago media were all agush on May 4th over the opening of Oprah Winfrey’s musical treatment of ‘The Color Purple’.  Breathless were the reports of who was in attendance and star struck was the celeb watching as the limos pulled up in front of the Cadillac Palace Theatre in downtown Chicago.   More...

Watergate’s Forgotten Lessons
Guest:

"The United States was resolved to intervene on behalf of its interests, but it was also resolved to intervene in such a way as not to violate the principle of nonintervention,” wrote Prof. Han J. Morgenthau, examining the lessons of the failed Bay of Pigs invasion that was intended to overthrow Fidel Castro.   More...

Pure Lunacy! More Global Warming Madness and First Amendment Attacks
Guest:

Could we get any more idiotic than this? The designation of July 4th, our Independence Day as “Energy Independence Day”!  Have I missed something? Has the Global Warming fanaticism hit SO hard that now we direct attention away from one of our most patriotic days celebrated in our nation to declare our allegiance to… “Mother Earth”?   More...

‘Americans are ‘Cheapskates’ over Lack of Foreign Aid Spending?’
Guest:

Leave it to a liberal to claim that Americans are “cheapskates” because our government does not spend enough money on foreign aid. In the L.A.Times for April 13th, that is just what we are treated to with Rosa Brooks’ screed titled, “To the rest of the world, we’re cheapskates"(1) and subtitled, “The U.S. international affairs budget—which helps fight AIDS, poverty and more—is just 1% of total spending.” But, by attacking our country over its record on charity and foreign aid spending, Brooks proves that she neither understands the nature of American generosity, nor the American character.   More...

‘Now Liberals Want A “Rubber Stamp”?’
Guest:

When Republicans controlled both houses of Congress and the White House liberals used to complain that Congress was simply being a “rubber stamp” for President George Bush and his right wing agenda.  They wailed and they moaned about how it was such a terrible thing and used procedural measures and phony filibusters to stop anything that they could from coming up for a vote.  But now things have apparently changed.  Apparently now that liberals are in power they are upset that there isn’t a “rubber stamp” on their policies.   More...

The Eco-Radicals’ Real Motives
Guest:

The driving force behind the eco-radicals’ fierce efforts to strangle the free market with environmental regulations is their virulent hatred for a free, prosperous economy. Yet behind this hatred is an even deeper one. To understand why they try to wreck our economy, you have to grasp the shocking fact that many eco-radicals hate the human race and Western civilization. They hate the fact that you, your family, your friends, and millions of other human beings live and prosper on this planet.   More...

Jihad coming to the streets of America
OffSite

3 May 2007: In the HQ INTEL-ALERT Private Intelligence Report issued on February 4, 2007, we reported extensively about Muslim men inside the U.S., adhering to the Islamist ideology of jihad, preparing for war on the streets of America. The “insider” reports are very troubling and are purposely being downplayed by official sources and go largely unreported in the media. One case, however, can serve as an example of what is taking place all across the U.S. involving the procurement and disbursement of weapons to Muslim “jihadists.”   More...

‘Could Netanyahu Be Poised For A Comeback?’
Guest:

Ehud Olmert’s time as Israel’s Prime Minister could be measured in days, if not hours.  He is under fire after the release of Winograd Report which examined Israel’s shortcomings during the first five days of last summer’s war with Hezbollah in Lebanon.  The report harshly criticized Olmert’s efforts as a “severe failure”.  For his part, Olmert has said he will not resign.  But in light of Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni calling on Olmert to resign it seems that the writing is on the wall.  If Olmert doesn’t leave of his own accord he will likely be forced out.  And don’t be surprised if Livni is chosen to succeed him as the new leader of Kadima and Israel’s second female Prime Minister.   More...

In honor of the actual substance of Thursday’s GOP debate at the Ronald Reagan library, nothing heavy here as far as observations are concerned.  Just a few drive-by Muthings…   More...

The Flying Imams’ Cheap Suit

‘Pesticide-Free Schools - Full of Rats and Roaches?’
Guest:

Our local radio station is encouraging parents to protest the use of pesticides in our schools. The station is broadcasting “public service announcements” saying pesticides used in the schools are “linked” to cancer, asthma and lower IQ scores among the kids. Probably you are hearing the same announcements on your radio stations. They’re produced by Earthworks, a consortium of eco-groups, and sponsored by The Ad Council.   More...

AIM Editor: Federal Media Shield Law Must Be Defeated
Accuracy In Media:

WASHINGTON, May 2, 2007 - Accuracy in Media editor Cliff Kincaid said today that the proposed federal media shield law, the so-called Free Flow of Information Act, is a Pandora’s Box that would backfire on the media because of the inability to adequately define basic terms such as “journalist.”   More...

Liberalism Foments Contempt for America
The New Media Alliance(NMA):

A couple of news items appeared over the wires during the past week that should have generated outrage from coast to coast. Yet they were barely noticed. And insofar as the “mainstream media” took notice of them, it was only to invoke them as fuel for their anti-terror war, anti-Bush, and ultimately anti-American crusade.   More...

A Change of (Commencement) Address
The New Media Alliance(NMA):

Shaping young minds...or is it twisting? - One of the perks of being a celebrity is being asked to give public speeches, including the occasional commencement address for a high school or institution of higher learning. Of course, I’m not a celebrity, per se, which would explain why I’m still waiting on a high school or institution of higher learning to contact me. But, just in case Pauly Shore or Paris Hilton’s gardener’s first cousin’s manicurist has to cancel, here’s a glimpse at what you’d get if you hired me.   More...
